Do the job, you get paid.
Pay, and the job gets done.

AllBuild is a construction marketplace where the money is held before work starts and released only against proof of the work. Think of it as a general contractor without the friction — the coordination and trust layer, minus the upcharge for who the GC knows.

Built by Ryan Lynch, an Austin-area contractor. I came up through a machine shop, not a coding bootcamp. I built this because I was tired of good subs eating the cost of clients who wouldn’t pay.

Android: you’ll need to allow installation from unknown sources / override the security warning. iOS is coming soon.

Why I built it

I'm Ryan Lynch, a contractor here in Austin. I got tired of the waste, the trust gaps, and the middlemen: good contractors chasing payments, and clients paying deposits on jobs that stall.

I started AllBuild with three goals:

  • Raise contractor pay.
  • Lower the price of construction.
  • Raise quality.

The way to do all three at once is to cut margins and friction. Take any one away and the other two fall over.

How it works

  1. Post the job. The client posts the job with photos, a description, and a desired budget. The contractor sees the general area but only sees the exact address after bid acceptance.
  2. Bid with a draw schedule. Contractors bid and lay out their draw schedule for materials, initiation, and labor. Everything is predefined, but change orders are possible. You can filter by trade and by Veteran status.
  3. Accept, and the money goes into escrow. When the client accepts a bid, the funds are held before work starts.
  4. Draws are approved against photographic proof. The contractor submits proof at each stage, and the client approves the draw. If something needs correction, the client can send it back before approving.
  5. Final payment after proof. The last payment releases once the client accepts proof of the finished work. Then both sides rate each other by name.

If there's a disagreement, it goes to AllBuild review instead of attorneys.

What it means for you

For contractors

You keep 100% of your bid. The client pays the platform fee. Money is in escrow before you start, and your reviews come from real finished jobs.

For clients

You only pay for proven work. Your money sits in escrow and goes out stage by stage as the work is shown, with the final payment last.

Where we are

AllBuild is in a small beta with trusted testers in Central Texas. The beta runs on practice funds, not real money yet. We're filling the contractor side first so there’s a solid crew in place before we open it up to end users.
